Your tasks:

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of state-of-the-art smart cockpit solutions for current and next generation company lifestyle vehicles
  • Assess and document the impact of adopting a Google Built-In solution, provide detailed analysis of Google Automotive Services (GAS) requirements, compliance obligations, and certification processes
  • Define technical gaps, risks, and dependencies associated with the migration, including hardware, software, and integration aspects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UX, system architects, hardware engineers, validation teams, suppliers, and Google) to drive feasibility studies and migration strategies
  • Identify and recommend architectural changes needed to integrate Google Built-In while maintaining OEM-specific customizations and brand requirements
  • Support system-level design, performance benchmarking, and feature validation during evaluation and rollout
  • Stay current with Android Automotive OS and Google Built-In roadmap updates to anticipate their impact on product planning
  • Perform benchmark activities, analyse market and technology trends and present conclusions to the leadership, support the definition of technology and platform roadmaps and strategy
  • Manage and steer technology partners, external suppliers as well as internal teams, status reporting to management and program teams
  • Define attributes and sign-off criteria on system level to ensure quality and customer expectations are met, define test and validation activities and lead the creation of test methods and standards
  • Ensure compliance with market specific requirements and regulations (e.g. Europe, North America)

Your profile:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
  • Proven experience in Android Automotive OS (AAOS) infotainment development and deployment
  • Hands-on experience with Google Automotive Services (GAS) / Google Built-In ecosystem
  • Strong understanding of Android system architecture (HALs, BSPs, middleware, frameworks, application layer)
  • Experience with system integration, debugging, and performance tuning on automotive infotainment platform
  • Familiarity with certification and compliance processes required for Google Built-In
  • Ability to analyze and communicate complex technical implications to both engineering and business stakeholders
  • Experienced working with and managing external partners
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to visit suppliers/partners, other company facilities or support test drive activities
  • Fluent in English
  • Valid driving license
