Your Future Working Environment
As part of an international large-scale project, you will manage and support the migration of extensive virtualization workloads to new platforms.
You can expect a challenging project environment with international teams, complex technical dependencies, and a large number of workloads to be migrated. The position is primarily remote, with occasional travel within Germany.
What You Can Expect
- Planning and management of a large-scale infrastructure migration
- Coordination of the migration of tens of thousands of workloads from an existing virtualization environment to new platforms
- Management of complex migrations, including vApps and vTemplates
- Coordination and alignment with international project teams and relevant stakeholders
- Tracking and monitoring project progress, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables
- Ensuring structured project governance
- Coordination of various technical and organizational work packages
- Proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and areas requiring action
- Supporting the implementation of migration strategies and the successful execution of individual project phases
- Collaboration with teams across different time zones and regular international coordination
What You Bring
- Several years of experience as a Senior Project Manager in complex IT infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure or data migration projects
- Experience managing complex, international projects
- Good knowledge of IT infrastructure and virtualization
- Experience with cloud and SaaS solutions
- Understanding of data and workload migrations
- Experience with agile project methodologies
- Very good written and spoken English
- High level of initiative and a strong hands-on mentality
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills
- Strong assertiveness and a clear focus on successful project delivery
- Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site meetings
- Flexibility to collaborate with international teams across different time zones
