Job Overview:

Location: Germany - USA 

Department: Motorsport / Race Team Operations 

Employment Type: Full-time, Trackside & Workshop-Based

Travel Requirement: Extensive (race calendar + test sessions)


As a Race Mechanic, you will play a critical role in preparing, maintaining, and servicing high-performance cars to the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability. You will work as part of a tight-knit technical team, supporting pre-season testing, race events, and post-event maintenance—both in the workshop and at race circuits across Europe

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, prepare, and maintain various race cars in line with manufacturer and team specifications
  • Perform pre-race checks, trackside repairs, pit stops, and post-race servicing
  • Strip and rebuild mechanical components including suspension, brakes, drivetrain, and transmission systems
  • Conduct systems diagnostics and troubleshooting in collaboration with engineers
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and DTM technical regulations
  • Maintain accurate build sheets and component mileage logs
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, data analysts, and other mechanics to optimize vehicle performance
  • Support setup and pack-down of the garage, tools, and transport equipment at race events
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a race mechanic in top-tier motorsport (preferably DTM, GT3, LMDH)
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with high-performance vehicles
  • Ability to work under pressure and in time-critical environments
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Understanding of motorsport safety protocols and procedures
  • Proficiency in using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Flexibility to travel and work weekends/long hours as required


Desirable:

  • Prior experience working with OEM factory teams or manufacturers
  • Familiarity with various race-specific regulations and homologation standards
  • Additional training or certification in motorsport engineering or vehicle systems
  • Ability to read technical drawings and follow build specifications
