Purchasing Program Manager (m/f/d)

• Program target management: Define and align customer and internal targets for quality, cost, delivery, and schedule across functions
• RFQ & sourcing support: Provide buyers with program data, cost targets, volumes, capacity requirements, and negotiation strategies to support RFQs and supplier selection
• Supplier & tooling management: Review sourcing schedules, tooling and investment proposals, and coordinate approvals with project and procurement teams
• BOM cost management: Manage BOM costs throughout the program lifecycle, including design changes, cost changes, and cost-down/value-engineering initiatives
• Supplier nomination & purchasing: Ensure timely supplier nominations and placement of tooling, sample, and production POs to meet project milestones
• BOM transfer & production readiness: Coordinate the timely transfer of BOMs and related activities to the manufacturing plant for smooth start of mass production
• Profitability & cross-functional collaboration: Drive VAVE, negotiations, and design reviews to improve profitability while collaborating with teams across Germany, Czech Republic, and Japan

• Education & experience: Relevant university degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field, combined with 7+ years of purchasing experience, including at least 3 years in automotive Purchasing Program Management
• Project & procurement expertise: Strong project management skills and solid knowledge of procurement planning, contract purchasing, production purchasing, BOM cost management, VA/VE, and cost-down activities
• Language skills: Fluent in English and German; Japanese language skills are a plus
• Cross-cultural communication: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across international teams and build trust with key stakeholders
• Stakeholder management & negotiation: Ability to identify and connect with relevant stakeholders, facilitate information flow, manage conflicts, and negotiate effectively with suppliers and internal teams
• Analytical & problem-solving skills: Strong logical thinking and structured problem-solving approach, with the ability to identify root causes, focus on key details, listen to different perspectives, and follow issues through to resolution
• Tools, mindset & flexibility: Professional Excel and PowerPoint skills (macro development is a plus), strong sense of responsibility and ethics, high adaptability, willingness to travel, and ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced international environment
