Project Manager (EDL Program) – Motorsport / Automotive (m/f/d)

Purpose and Objectives of the Position

You take full end-to-end responsibility for coordination within the EDL project environment. Acting as the central interface, you ensure clear communication, structured prioritization, task management, and transparent reporting – translating complex requirements into clear, executable work packages.

 

Your responsibilities

Project coordination & partner communication

  • Primary point of contact for our partner / OEM and continuous liaison with relevant stakeholders.
  • Central interface between OEM and internal project teams.
  • Consolidation, evaluation, and prioritisation of incoming information, ensuring structured distribution to the right stakeholders.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented communication internally and externally, ensuring clear expectations at all times.

 Task management & prioritisation

  • Analyse requirements and translate them into concrete, actionable tasks.
  • Prioritise and coordinate work packages within the overall project context.
  • Ensure clear and structured task allocation across workshop, engineering, and parts management teams. 
  • Use project and task management tools to efficiently manage dependencies, timelines, and task tracking in a transparent way.

 Project overview & status tracking

  • Maintain a strong overview of individual project streams, tasks, and dependencies while keeping the bigger picture in focus.
  • Continuously track project status across all workstreams.
  • Provide regular feedback to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare structured project reports and status updates for management and partners.

 Interface management & conflict resolution

  • Act as the key link between internal teams and OEM, ensuring structured and effective information flow.
  • Mediate between differing priorities and develop pragmatic, workable solutions.
  • Foster collaboration, ownership, and accountability within the project environment.
  • Communicate clearly, calmly, and reliably – even under pressure or changing priorities.

 Test events & operational execution

  • Take lead responsibility on-site at national and international test events.
  • Ensure structured preparation and debriefing of all testing activities.
  • Guarantee that findings, open points, and follow-up actions are properly documented, prioritised, and tracked.

Your profile

  • Several years of experience in project management or a similar coordination role within a fast-paced technical environment (motorsport, automotive, engineering, industrial, or special vehicle development preferred).
  • Strong communication, prioritisation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to break down complex topics into structured, actionable plans.
  • Reliable, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams.
  • Technical understanding enabling effective communication with workshop, engineering, parts management, and external partners.
  • Confident use of project management and task tracking tools.
  • High willingness to travel and flexible working hours, including weekends during test and event periods.
  • Driving licence required.
  • German language skills beneficial, strong English skills required.
