Windows/Linux Administrator (gn)

Start: immediately

Location: Ulm, on site

Capacity: full-time

Duration: 4 months with option to extend

Presence on Site : 5 days per week 

The role will involve systems administration, virtualization, automation, file services, and security operations:

• Maintain and administer Linux servers (preferably Debian, CentOS, or Rocky)

• Operate and support Windows server/client environments (optional)

• Manage virtualization infrastructure, primarily KVM (VmWare or oVirt is a plus)

• Develop and manage automation workflows using Ansible (Puppet is a plus)

• Configure and maintain Samba and/or NFS file services on Linux

• Support and administer core services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, PXE, WSUS, SCCM

• Ensure system security across both Windows and Linux platforms

• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes

• Participate in system monitoring and performance tuning

• Min. 5 years hands-on experience and strong Installation, Administration and Debugging skillset
• Analytical approach to problem-solving
• Plans, designs and executes items in own area 
• Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure
• Demonstrated ability to teach and instruct co-workers
• Strong communication skills, including both verbal and written English
• Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve issues quickly and completely.
• Sharp troubleshooting faculties, deductive reasoning, and careful attention to detail
• Independent and self-directed work ethic when participating in a collaborative environment
• Assertive in approach coupled with confidence in area of expertise coupled with excellent leadership skills
